Ocean House Management has revived the historic Weekapaug Inn in the Rhode Island beach community of the same name. The inn, which was originally built in 1899 and has been closed since 2007, has reopened following a $20 million renovation.

“The Weekapaug Inn historically served as a centerpiece of its community,” says Langdon Wheeler, managing member of Weekapaug Inn and Cottages. “By introducing a new chapter to the inn’s history, both locals and travelers will be able to experience it for years to come.”

Designed by Rhode Island-based Nancy Taylor Designs, the inn’s 27 guest rooms and four suites feature a mix of traditional and whimsical fabrics and furniture, and heated guest bathroom floors.

The inn is also home to The Restaurant and SeaRoom dining venues, and its public areas offer four fireplaces. Guests also have access to restaurant and spa facilities at a nearby sister hotel, the Relais & Chateaux Ocean House, which manages both properties.
