Ex-Radisson to reopen as luxury boutique
A former Radisson hotel and an adjoining playhouse in Boston’s theater district will be reborn this spring as the Revere Hotel. When it opens in April, the independent luxury hotel/entertainment destination will offer 356 rooms, the 6,000-sq.-ft. Emerald Lounge, a film/live entertainment venue, a multipurpose events room and more than 35,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.
The hotel, owned by Northwood Hospitality, will feature interiors created by BBGM Interiors and an in-house design team. Designers say the hotel’s look will be “inspired by Boston's revolutionary spirit and will pay reverence to the city's rich history and storied past, while embracing a modern edge and reveling in the non-traditional.” Design highlights include an art piece inspired by the work of famed sculptor Richard Serra at the hotel’s entrance and guest rooms with hardwood entryways and a neutral color palate interspersed with patterns and splashes of color.
Northwood Hospitality is a unit of Northwood Investors LLC, whose holdings include the New York Palace Hotel, the Alden Houston Hotel and the Cheeca Lodge & Spa in the Florida keys.
