Restaurant designed by Bentel & Bentel
New York restaurateur Danny Meyer has teamed with executive chef/partner Floyd Cardoz to open the North End Grill. The 140-seat eatery, operated by Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG), is located in northern Battery Park City and features a design by Bentel & Bentel, which also created the group’s Gramercy Tavern, The Modern and Blue Smoke restaurants.
The North End Grill’s main dining room features custom-designed dark blue leather booths and banquettes referencing the bentwood style, as well as a wall made of reclaimed Wyoming snow fence post. In addition, black and white images by acclaimed photographer Mariana Cook are displayed throughout the space.
