Unites resources for designers
Interior design firm HBA/Hirsch Bedner Associates has formed Canvas, a global art affiliate that provides budgeting, concept planning, procurement and installation for the hospitality industry. Canvas formerly operated as the International Art Collaborative in Atlanta, Art Group International in Los Angeles and HBA Art in Singapore. The existing branches, along with a new division in Hong Kong, have united to form an independent company within HBA.
“We’ve developed an unrivaled grouping of artists, consultants and designers whose work speaks for itself,” says Matthew Whitaker, director of Canvas. “Making their talents available to hospitality and other luxury design firms that share our belief in the power of art to transform aligns perfectly with our long-term vision.”
The firms behind Canvas have previously supported art collections for HBA projects around the world, including The St. Regis Atlanta and the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.
