Firm’s intellectual property acquired
Gasser Chair Co. has acquired the intellectual property of Taylor Chair Co., a Bedford, Ohio-based office furniture manufacturer that closed its doors in June after 196 years in business. The transaction grants Gasser the rights to the Taylor brand name, chair designs and customer list.
“Because of the similarities in the way the Gasser and Taylor companies manage their sales, marketing and product development activities, we should be able to integrate the Taylor Chair product line in an expeditious and seamless manner,” said Mark Gasser, president of Gasser Chair.
Youngstown, Ohio-based Gasser Chair designs and manufactures both wood and metal frame seating products for hospitality and gaming venues. Its product line includes dining chairs, stackable banquet chairs, barstools, lounge chairs, booth seating and tables.
