Menin Hotels, a Miami-based hospitality management group, will reopen the 87-key Gale & Regent South Beach on Dec. 4, following a $35 million restoration and renovation. Originally built in 1941 by local architect L. Murray Dixon, the historic property will maintain its original structure and name. The connected hotels will feature an updated Italian Riviera-influenced design.

“This is our most extensive renovation of a classic South Beach property to date, and we are eager to share our vision with our new guests,” says Keith Menin, principal of Menin Hotels. “The renovation has allowed us to breathe new life into this historic hotel.”

The renovated property will include several new dining options, a subterranean nightclub, Chicago’s famed speakeasy-inspired Drumbar lounge and a 5,000-sq.-ft. rooftop pool deck.

Menin Hotels is a Miami-based company that manages the Shelborne, Bentley and Sanctuary hotels in South Beach; as well as the Raffaello Chicago.
