Paramount, DAMAC plan 4-tower complex
Paramount Hotel & Resorts, a new lifestyle hospitality brand from film company Paramount Pictures, is teaming with luxury developer DAMAC Properties to build a $1 billion mixed-used complex in Dubai. The DAMAC Towers by Paramount will feature four 820-ft.-tall towers, which will house a 540-key hotel and 1,400 serviced hotel residences. It’s slated to open by the end of 2015.
“The history, glamour and tradition of the movies indirectly transcend every element of the design and ethos of this aspirational project,” says Ziad El Chaar, DAMAC’s managing director. “We will employ the same tried-and-tested production process, pioneered by Paramount Pictures at the studio, to direct, design and detail a world-class experience.”
The four towers will be connected by a multi-level plaza with themed food/beverage concepts, meeting/events facilities, a screening room, wellness/fitness centers, swimming pools and retail spaces.
