Fabric line mascot shown in varied locales
Enduratex has named the first winners in its “OSSIE: Where’s Your Final Perch?” contest. OSSIE is the mascot for a new Enduratex faux leather vinyl-coated fabric collection that bears his name. The company has been distributing copies of the OSSIE mascot and is running a quarterly contest asking recipients to send in photos of the spiky-haired figurine (that’s actually a pen) in an imaginative “final perch.”
The top prize in the first round of that competition was taken by Dorris Dunn of the Colonial Shoppe, an upholstery wholesaler in Montgomery, Ala., whose OSSIE is shown wearing an oversized set of sunglasses and holding a small dog in a handbag. Runner-up honors went to Susan Venditti, of Haig Lighting in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., for her entry featuring a pair of OSSIEs in a Las Vegas venue.
