Low VOC and 100% recycled packaging
Architectural Systems, Inc. announced that its Sculptured Collection will now be offered with no added urea-formaldehyde, compliant with both CARB (California Air Resources Board) and E1 (the European standard). Not only do the MDF panels maintain the lowest levels of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions creating a vastly healthier environment, the packaging is also 100% recyclable.
The MDF panels can be used in a variety of applications for ceilings, bar fronts and feature walls with numerous custom finishing options. The Sculptured Collection was used in the Silver Rain Spa at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman as a undulating complement to the spa’s “healing water” environment.
“We think of the paneling as both soft and hard at the same time,” explained designer Carl D’Aquino, principal at D’Aquino Monaco. “The random carvings are analogous to water passing through and around rocks carving random cuts into the stone. Architectural Systems has products that are not found anywhere else. The company is extremely amenable and willing to explore with us ways in which to innovatively use their materials.”
Architectural Systems continues to commit itself to the lessening of its industrial footprint, creating an alliance with the American Forests Global relief campaign, planting two trees for every one harvested.
