W Hotels Worldwide has unveiled W Hollywood, celebrating the glamorous heyday of the scintillating city of the silver screen.

Located at the historic intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine, the $350 million complex was developed by Gatehouse Capital and is owned in a joint venture with HEI Hotels & Resorts and Gatehouse Capital, marking the completion of a ten-year journey.

“Opening in Hollywood, the epicenter of pop culture, marks a true milestone in W’s global expansion into the world’s most exciting and vibrant destinations,” said Eva Ziegler, Global Brand Leader, W Hotels Worldwide and Méridien. “W Hollywood further demonstrates our passion for entertainment as well as our leadership in cutting-edge design.”

Several talented teams were at the helm designing the luxurious new property including HKS Architects for the exteriors, designstudio ltd. for the interiors and interior architecture from Daly Genik Architects.

The ground-floor lounge and adjoining al fresco terrace feature black tufted leather sofas and a dramatic backlit lobby bar crafted from striated Onice Fantastico onyx. Channeling a throw-back sensation, the contemporary Living Room is offset by a spiraling staircase of white marble against a backdrop of a bronze mosaic wall.

The rooftop pool deck, bar and nightclub conceptualized by Victor Drai offers panoramic views and delectable dishes by Chef Claude Segal. The raised Ipe wood deck is adorned with a series of sun beds, sectional sofas, chaises and Moroccan-inspired cabanas surrounding a fire pit. Delphine also makes its debut at W Hollywood, crafted by Zeff designs, echoing the South of France.

Registered for LEED-Silver certification, W Hollywood also features access to public transportation with the incorporation of an on-site Metro Red Line Station that connects the hotel with the extensive system serving Los Angeles.

The 6,000 square feet of Bliss spa facilities offer seven treatment rooms while the 10,000 square feet of meeting space features W’s signature Sensory SetUp, a unique experience of mood music and signature scents to invigorate guests.

“We have paired an iconic brand to an iconic intersection in a city that is a global destination recognized the world over, and in doing so, ushered in a second Golden Age that will redefine and revitalize modern Hollywood,” said Marty Collins, president and CEO of Gatehouse Capital.
