llis, the new chair designed by Massimo Scolari, serves the stylish and fickle alike, offering three different versions of the same lounge chair, each featuring a decidedly severe look. The lowest version serves as a simple stool or ottoman, the medium level has an asymmetrical swooping back and the tallest is a dramatic, high-back armchair.
Each of three seating options can be upholstered in varying shades of fabric or leather, highlighting the sharp lines and delineating one piece from the next. In addition, there is also a small portable tray with a saddle leather base that when placed on the stool, serves as an ideal side table.
Scolari has straddled many fields throughout his career including sculpture, architecture, furniture design and painting, working closely with Giorgetti for the past twenty years. Currently, he resides in Venice, Italy where he continues to dabble in both design and painting.
